Birds on a tree
come and go.
Their songs
still echo.

A few years back, Tree Secrets was a vague idea: a shared space for contemplation and conversations with nature.

Then my sister passed away unexpectedly. Grief took over. Tree Secrets, the zine, became the place where my conversations with my sister continued.

Two years and six months passed. Trees turned green and then yellow, and green again. Grief remained.

But slowly, that original idea returned…

If you are passing by, stay for a while and listen to the birdsong; slow down and feel the rhythm.

If you wish, leave something here too.

A few practical matters

If you would like to leave something, send it to birds@TreeSecrets.org.

Any medium is welcome. Please send only work that is your own. You will always be credited unless you ask to remain anonymous; in any case, copyright of your work remains yours

By sending your work, you give Tree Secrets permission to display it on this website/app. Tree Secrets is a non-commercial project and will never sell or monetise your work.

Everything you send will be read, seen, or heard, and pondered.

Some pieces may be shown here; not all will be. Only one person's work is shown at a time, for a few days, or for longer. No comments. No likes. Only one quiet encounter at a time.
